• Charity Auction Rules

    All proceeds from this auction will be donated to The Lewy Body Society.

    By placing a bid, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

    1. The Auction

    This auction is being organised solely to raise funds for The Lewy Body Society.

    Three prizes are available:

    Five-day stay in a Spanish villa

    • Four-ball golf day at Wallasey Golf Club
    • Four-ball golf day at Delamere Forest Golf Club
    • Bidding may take place both online prior to the event and during the live auction held at the Charity Fun Day.

    2. Who can bid?

    Bidding is open to anyone aged 18 years or over.

    The organisers reserve the right to refuse or withdraw any bid where they reasonably believe it is not genuine or where these rules have not been followed.

    3. Placing a bid

    All bids must be submitted in pounds sterling (£)

    Once submitted, a bid cannot normally be withdrawn.

    Online bids received before the published closing time will be carried forward into the live auction where applicable.

    4. Winning bid

    The highest valid bid at the close of the auction will win the prize.

    In the unlikely event of identical highest bids, the earliest bid received will take precedence unless the auctioneer determines otherwise during the live auction.

    The organisers' decision is final.

    5. Payment

    Successful bidders will be contacted as soon as possible after the auction.

    Payment should normally be made within 7 days of confirmation unless another arrangement has been agreed.

    If payment is not received within the agreed period, the organisers reserve the right to offer the prize to the next highest bidder or to re-auction the prize.

    6. Prize conditions

    Prizes are offered in good faith by generous donors. Each prize is subject to any conditions imposed by the donor, including (where applicable):

    • availability
    • booking requirements
    • expiry dates
    • exclusions
    • reasonable restrictions
    • These conditions will be made available to the successful bidder.

    Prizes are non-transferable unless agreed by the donor and cannot be exchanged for cash.

    7. Spanish Villa Stay

    The successful bidder will receive a five-day stay in the donated Spanish villa.

    Travel, insurance, meals, transfers and any other personal expenses are not included unless specifically stated.

    The stay must be booked directly with the donor and is subject to mutually agreed dates and availability.

    8. Golf Day Prizes

    The golf day prizes are subject to the booking arrangements and availability of the respective golf clubs.

    The successful bidder is responsible for ensuring that all members of their four-ball comply with the club's dress code and visitor requirements.

    9. Use of funds

    After deductiuon of any unavoidable costs directly associated with delivering the donated prizes (if applicable), all net proceeds will be donated to The Lewy Body Society.

    10. Liability

    The organisers act only as facilitators of the auction.

    They accept no responsibility for injury, loss, damage or disappointment arising from the use of any prize.

    Any arrangements made with the prize donor are between the successful bidder and the donor.

    11. Privacy

    Personal information collected during the auction will be used solely for administering the auction, contacting bidders where necessary and maintaining appropriate financial records.

    Your information will not be sold or shared for marketing purposes.

    12. Changes

    The organisers reserve the right to amend these rules where reasonably necessary or in the event of circumstances beyond their control.

    13. Organisers' decision

    The organisers' decisions regarding the conduct of the auction and the determination of the winning bids are final.
